Shawn Monahan | Assistant Coach

Assistant coach Shawn Monahan enters his 13th season with the Geneseo coaching staff in 2017-18. Monahan previously served as an assistant from 2002-2007 and returned to assist head coach Scott Hemer in 2010.

A 1988 graduate of Canisius College, Monahan was a member of the cross-country, indoor and outdoor track teams and earned a degree in business education. A former business teacher at Keshequa Central School for 14 years, he now works as a Labor Relations Specialist for the National Education Association of New York (NEA/NY) and the New York State United Teachers (NYSUT).

Monahan resides in Warsaw, N.Y. with his wife Kim, a 1989 Geneseo graduate, and their three daughters: Katy, Morgan and Abbey.
